JAKUB TOLAR, M.D.
Dr. Tolar is Executive Vice Dean of Minnesota Medical School, a Distinguished McKnight Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Director of the Stem Cell Institute at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Tolar is the Edmund Wallace Tulloch & Anna Marie Tulloch Chair in Stem Cell Biology, Genetics & Genomics. Dr. Tolar’s research focuses on finding new ways of treating children with lethal diseases – cancer, inborn errors of metabolism, and devastating genetic disorders – using stem cell transplantation. He received an M.D. from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, and his Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology and Genetics from the University of Minnesota. He completed his residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplantation at the University of Minnesota.
DENNIS ROOP, PH.D.
Dr. Roop is Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Charles C. Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Biology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (UCD). Dr. Roop’s expertise in stem cell biology will be key in advancing Taiga’s programs related to the development of a universal donor hematopoietic stem cell line.

Dr. Stein is Director, Stem Cell Transplant Unit at the Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel.
